The St. Amant Volunteer Fire Department recently hosted an AirMed training class in the St. Amant community, with the goal of cutting down response times in rescue situations. The training drill was provided free of charge by Acadian Ambulance, and was held at the St. Amant Volunteer Fire Department main fire station on Stringer Bridge Road.

Clint Braud, Quality Improvement Coordinator for Acadian Ambulance, provided instruction on when to use AirMed services, how to establish and secure a proper landing zone, and general safety considerations when operating around helicopters.… Continue Reading
